1st International Seminar on Environmental Studies: Environmental Governance of China and Brazil in the Face of the Climate Crisis

SIEAmb - International Seminar on Environmental Studies of the PPGEGRN/UFCG - Postgraduate Program in Engineering and Management of Natural Resources of the Federal University of Campina Grande - is an academic event dedicated to the critical and proactive analysis of the heterogeneous environmental problems, in order to provide the exchange of high-impact knowledge, bringing together innovative minds and leaders in discussions on the themes of Environmental Sciences and their multiple dimensions.

The seminar is a strategic space for Brazilian researchers and the international community, fostering discussions that are not only part of research, but also challenge established rules and enable the formulation of solutions. Thus, the aim is to increase interaction between the emerging generation of researchers in the program and the international scientific community, enabling the construction of collaborative networks.


SIEAmb is characterized by being inclusive, being a practical laboratory for the development of organizational skills in the scientific field, training postgraduate students through voluntary involvement in its execution. To fulfill its mission, SIEAmb will have internationally renowned speakers, leading researchers, outstanding professors and an active technical staff, with the objective of promoting high-level debate on current issues in Environmental Science in Brazilian and global contexts, building a path of knowledge in the face of socio-environmental challenges.

SIEAmb Edição 2025

The studies submitted to the event will be evaluated in two stages: the first is a content review and the second is a textual and formal review. The event will accept full-text papers in article format and initial results of ongoing research in expanded abstract format. Papers will be accepted in Portuguese, English and Spanish. The approved papers will be published in the event proceedings. The best papers will be nominated for publication as book chapters.


The year 2025 marks the first year of the seminar, in a remote format, with the participation of researchers linked to Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, Jiangsu Province, China, UFPB and Unicamp.
